help · the cabinet

The cabinet

Your unbounded, sealed archive.

What is the cabinet?

Everything you file lands here — an unbounded, sealed archive. Unlike the page, it has no limit. Open it with ⇧⌘C.

How do tags and drawers work?

Filed scraps carry lowercase tags, and the cabinet groups them into drawers with counts. Any #tags you wrote into the scrap come along as its tags automatically, and you can add or remove them when you file. Drag a card onto a tag to retag it.

Can I search it?

Yes — full-text across everything you've filed. Search runs on your device: because the server can't read your notebook, it can't index it either.

Can I edit something after filing it?

Open any filed entry to edit its title, body, or tags. Or use ↩ to return a copy to the bottom of the page.
